Happy March!

Yes, happy March 1st! March is one of those month's that divides
the coasts by weather, those on the east coast are so often still
digging up to their knees in snow and here on the west coast we're (almost) ready
to bring the summer cushions out for the season.
When I was out and about and saw these pretty boxes of soaps today, I thought,
no matter the weather outside, isn't it nice to treat yourself to a
lovely warm soak, weather you've been bracing the cold
or toiling the pre-spring garden?
What a lovely way to begin or end your 1st day off march right?
And for a little design inspiration, here are a few design interiors
with touches of green to kick off the month...

Happy March, cheers!

Jo's Febgiving

Ah well, thank you to Joanna @ A CUP OF JO
for the great idea of Thanksgiving in February.
We pulled our our porcini mushroom gravy out of the freezer,
roasted a chicken and voila, Febgiving !
Here is the fruit of our labor:

It may not be the most elegant (or dressed) chicken but it was most delicious!

Live Good

While wondering around Santa Rosa the other day
I went into a lovely little store called Blissful Home.
It's a little Shabby Chic, you know-
rough hewn hardwood floors,
washed painted furniture, sparkely chandeliers,candles,
soaps and girlie stuff.
There I found a great little book with a lovely sentiment.
The book is called LIVE GOOD
by Kobi Tamada.
I think it would make a perfect bedside book
as it is filled with encouraging thoughts on
kindness, love, integrity and harmony.
You can read read reviews and peek inside @  amazon.com
 Have a Blissful weekend.

A Day between the Storms

It was so GORGEOUS here in NorCal today, yes we are between storms,
no, it is not yet spring... so walking in The City, I had to capture a
small glimpse to share...
I had to walk to the edge of Stockton Street in North Beach, for
that favorite view. The fragrant smells of an Italian neighborhood were so abundant-
garlic, savory herbs and fresh baked bread. Red white and green pride flags
accompanied the sound of Italian conversations.

And of course, I always make a stop down Stockton Street,
Happy Chinese New Year.

Well, it's been raining here all day-but I think it is important
to enjoy every moment and find beauty in everything,

What to wear to a museum

"The idea of a girl in a gallery, any gallery, anywhere in the world,"
inspired Tory Burch this  (fall) season, she said.
 (photo via wwd)
Museums and galleries are great places to
expand your views and maybe even re invent yourself
if only for a short bit.

which reminds me of this from the web...

This was from Flavorwire, it was a photo essay
called k-i-s-s-i-n-g in the museum-
what a fun way to expand you views, right?

Isn't Life Grand?

Meet Ruth Flowers aka DJ MamyRock

(photo via www.mamyrock)
I found this photo while visiting Ari Seth Cohen's (fantastic)
advanced style  blog.
Ruth is a 69 year old DJ from England who is living the dream
and proving that age is only a state of mind.

Is it Summer Yet?

The past few days have been so pretty
here in Sonoma County!
It seems like we always get a taste of summer around
this time of year- just long enough
to get us dreaming of what lies ahead.
